| I use the student organizer because it is just that, an organizer which is
all encompassing: for setting goals, favourite pieces, exam pieces, for festivals
and recitals, special notes pages, weekly lesson assignment pages, for referencing
musical terms and definition and for composing. Moreover, I love the space allotted
for writing a note to parents at each lesson page and the space given for recording
the student's practice time. The latter is a testimonial to the lesson's success as
to whether a student practices well or not. I love this workbook/organizer and do
not give a second thought to reverting back to the usual 'staff' book format. |

| The Student Music Organizer has become an essential part of my piano student's
library. As a teacher I find that I can write and organize my students weekly lesson
and practice requirements quickly, effectively and in a logical order for daily
practice. My students have learned to do their practice in the proper sequence e.g.
technical warm-ups first etc. and have learned to record their daily practice time
(which I suggest and adjust individually). This allows the students, parents and
teacher to monitor the practice habits of the student. My students have improved
and excelled using this organized approach to piano study. |

| I like this book because you have everything you need right there! It is a good
way of keeping track of favourite pieces, pieces performed in various competitions
etc. The manuscript paper great for both exercises & ear training & sight-reading
tips. I have used this book for both piano and voice. |

| I have been using The Student Music Organizer since Darlene Irwin developed it
in 1989. It keeps both myself & my student organized with no excuses for not knowing
what to practice, with it's well laid out structure, daily & weekly practise times,
goals, & opportunities to perform. Even though it was developed with piano students
in mind, I find that it works very well for my singing students. It is easy for me
to glance back to check where we've been & where we're heading. I would recommend
this Organizer for music students in any discipline. |
